Is this you?

  • You eat past the point of fullness without really noticing until afterwards

  • Your portions have crept up over the years and "normal" doesn't feel normal any more

  • You've tried calorie counting and portion apps, but the old habits creep back in

  • You don't binge or eat emotionally; you just eat too much, too often

  • You know what "enough" should feel like, but you rarely stop there

  • Restrictive diets feel like a fight with your own body

How The Inner Band Method Works

Your stomach can't tell the difference between what's physically real and what's vividly imagined under hypnosis. Using deep trance, we guide your unconscious mind through the experience of having a gastric band fitted; without the surgery, the risk, the recovery time, or the cost.

The result is the same signal that surgical patients report: you feel satisfied on less food, because your brain believes there's less room. No calorie counting. No forcing yourself to stop. Just a stomach that tells you "enough" sooner, naturally.

What makes THE INNER BAND METHOD Different

There's no shortage of virtual gastric band apps and downloadable audio scripts online.

Here's what's different about The Inner Band Method and working with me.

Clinical Sessions Designed To Meet Your Specific Needs

Generic virtual gastric band recordings play the same script to everyone, regardless of what's actually driving your overeating. Every session is live and tailored to your specific habits, not a one-size-fits-all recording.

Address The Habits Responsible For The Overeating

Overeating rarely comes from nowhere; eating too fast, eating in front of a screen, or finishing food out of habit rather than hunger all play a part. We use pattern interrupt techniques to break these specific habits, not just suggest a smaller stomach and hope the rest follows.

A Blended Clinical Approach, Not 'Just Hypnosis'

This isn't 'just hypnosis'. We draw on NLP techniques to reframe automatic eating habits, and EFT where cravings or urges need quicker more immediate attention between sessions.

Designed For The Long Term, Not Just A 'Quick Fix'

Across four sessions, we reinforce the new "feeling full" signal, adjust and fine-tune, and also teach you self-hypnosis techniques to keep it working long after we've finished.

The INNER BAND METHOD:

Four Sessions to Balance

We'll work together over four tailored sessions for between 4-6 weeks. Typically the first session lasts around 90 minutes and the rest up to one hour. Whilst the structure below is typical, the approach will be customised to your individual needs:

Session 1: Preparing the Ground

Before any band work begins, we address what's actually behind the overeating by identifying the automated habits that are driving the over-eating. No judgement, just clarity about your specific habits and practical tools to disrupt them, so the band work that follows installs smoothly.

Session 2: The Virtual Band Procedure

In a deeply relaxed hypnotic state, we'll guide your unconscious mind through an imagined experience of having a gastric band fitted. Your body responds to imagined experiences in exactly the same way as lived ones — so the 'gastric restriction' feeling installed here is genuine, but without surgery.

Session 3: Reinforcing and Adjusting the New Signal

We'll see how you've been getting on and fine-tune your new “full up” signal so it's just how you want it to be. You'll also learn some more pattern interrupt techniques to help with any lingering habits.

Session 4: Locking In Independence

This final session consolidates everything and teaches you simple self-hypnosis techniques to reinforce the band's signal whenever you need to. The goal is a stomach that runs itself; you shouldn't need to think about this again.

What about weight loss injections?

You've probably seen the headlines about Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro. They work by suppressing appetite — which sounds a lot like what The Inner Band Method does. So what's the difference?

The injections override your hunger signal chemically, from outside. The Inner Band Method resets it from within, using your own unconscious mind's response to the virtual band experience. One depends on an ongoing prescription; the other is something your body does on its own once the work is done.

Oxford University research published in the BMJ found that people on Wegovy and Mounjaro regain two-thirds of their lost weight within a year of stopping — because the moment the drug stops, so does the appetite suppression. There's no equivalent cliff-edge with The Inner Band Method.

That said, this isn't an either/or decision. Some clients use both — the injections for a head start, The Inner Band Method for a signal that doesn't depend on staying on the prescription. There's no judgement here, just clarity about what each option actually does.

You Know What "Enough" Feels Like — You Just Don't Stop There

The second helping you didn't really need. The plate that's always a little fuller than it has to be. The moment, twenty minutes later, when you realise you've overdone it again.

It's not that you don't know when you're full. It's that the signal telling you arrives too late to matter.

So you've counted calories. Tracked portions. Tried the apps. And for a while, it worked — until the old habits crept back in, the way they always do.

There's another way.

Not another app. Not more willpower you don't have. Not a diet that ignores how you actually eat.

Just four sessions that reset the signal itself
